Mark Smith
Senior Vice President

Mark oversees the sales and operations of the business as the leader of Summit Fire National Accounts. He has spent the past 25 years in the service industry, including 16 years in the fire protection and life safety industry. His extensive experience includes sales-driven roles as well as operations. Mark’s proven leadership of several teams includes starting the Healthcare Solutions department while at Fire & Life Safety America (FLSA), and since joining Summit has continued to grow it to a team of 14 people today. Mark has many certifications, including: Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker (American Society for Health Care Engineering – ASHE); Certified Healthcare Operations Professional (CHOP) – Advanced (DNV); Certified Healthcare Operations Professional (CHOP) – Basic (DNV). He is also an active Principal voting member of four NFPA Committees, including NFPA 101, NFPA 5000, NFPA 80, and NFPA 105. Mark is the founder of the Wind Beneath My Wings Scholarship, which he started over 20 years ago. He enjoys running in 5k and 10k races, spending time on his farm with his wife and 6 children, coaching soccer, and volunteering in the community.

Director of National Accounts

Rebecca Patton is a seasoned leader with over a decade of dedicated service to Summit. With a career spanning 12 years within the company, Rebecca has continually demonstrated her commitment to excellence and her passion for fostering growth and success.

She began in the accounting department and then transferred to the National Accounts division. Embracing new challenges with vigor, she swiftly rose through the ranks, securing promotions to pivotal roles including Team Lead, Service Support Manager, and ultimately, Director of National Accounts. Committed to the ongoing advancement of National Accounts, Rebecca continues to lead by example, inspiring her team to strive for excellence and innovate in pursuit of shared goals. With her steadfast dedication and work ethic, Rebecca stands as a beacon of leadership within Summit, guiding the National Accounts team towards a future filled with growth.

Justin Miller
Director of National Account Operational Sales

Justin has been with Summit for 10 years, with 8 years of experience in the life safety industry with a focus on National Accounts. He is currently serving as the Director of National Account Operational Sales for Summit Fire National Accounts. Justin currently oversees operations for the Minnesota and Kentucky National Account groups. Justin got his start at Summit in the fire extinguisher shop while finishing his finance degree. He transitioned to an office position in 2014 with roles as a purchasing agent and 3rd Party National Account Representative, before becoming the National Account Manager in January of 2018. Justin’s educational background includes a BA from the Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis. Outside of work, he loves family time up north at the cabin, watching sports, playing yard games, and collecting sports cards.

 

Jeff Banuat

Director of National Accounts Operation Sales

Jeff  has 30 years of experience as a firefighter and in the fire & life safety industry with a focus on national accounts. He is currently serving as the Director of National Account Operational Sales for Summit Fire National Accounts. Jeff oversees operations for the Georgia-based national account group and supports multiple national accounts in all 50 U.S. states. His fire protection career began as a fire sprinkler installer for Affordable Fire Protection. He obtained his NICET certification in Water-Based Inspections Level III, NICET Level II Fire Alarm, NICET Level I in Special Hazards, NAFED, AWWA, ICC Code Compliance, and numerous manufacturer certifications.

Jeff led an extremely large inspection division in the Atlanta area for Fire and Life Safety America (FLSA), where he then acquired his CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) certification and moved to the FLSA Richmond corporate office where he assumed the role of National Accounts Operations Manager. He led the National Division for Quick Response Fire Protection as the Director of National Accounts, which was then acquired by Summit in 2024. Outside of work, Jeff loves his family and spending time at his Tennessee home. He enjoys relaxing, hiking, taking Jeep rides in the mountains, and giving back to his community.

Account Manager – Sprinkler Operations

Jeff has been in the fire & life safety industry for 16 years. He spent 10 years in the field and 6 years in management, all of which has been with Summit. He is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist and had held that certification for over 6 years.  He currently holds NICET Level III in Inspection Testing and Maintenance of Water-Based Systems. His experience includes Lead Inspector, Operations Manager for a local Summit Branch before moving to National Accounts 3 years ago to project manage Capital Sprinkler projects. He was promoted to Account Manager of Sprinkler Operations in 2023. In his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his two sons, fishing, and hiking.

Kris Atzenhofer
Account Manager – Alarm Operations

Kris Atzenhofer has been with Summit for over 5 years. He has been in the fire and life safety Industry for over 20 years. Kris has a NICET I certification in Fire Alarm Systems and holds a NC Qualifying Agent License for Burglar Alarms System.

Kris joined Summit Fire National Accounts as a National Account Service Operations Manager and Project Controller. He was promoted to Account Manager – Alarm Operations of National Accounts in 2023.

Nikki Martin
National Account Controller, Capital Projects

Nikki has worked for Summit Fire National Accounts department for 11 years. She has achieved promotional advancement from Team Lead to her current role as National Account Project Controller within our Capital Projects Team. Nikki is a self-driven and motivated leader that finds satisfaction in discovering the right solution to a problem as well as encouraging others’ feedback that adds depth and insight. Nikki has the knowledge and capability to plan, implement, and monitor projects from start to finish. She values efficient communication, organization, and creativity as those are major components of a successful Project Controller Role.

Taylor Carlock

Director of Healthcare Solutions

Taylor Carlock is currently the Director of Healthcare Solutions for National Accounts. He oversees all aspects of the accredited healthcare customers and prospects. This includes sales, operations, market expansion, healthcare training, and customer service. The Healthcare department is the recognized leader in the fire & life safety industry, and partners with over 3,500 accredited facilities across the United States that are accredited by various agencies.

Taylor worked as Senior Healthcare Operations Manager for two years and Inspection and Service Manager for three. He has over 13 years of management in the fire and life safety industry and a combined 19 years of general construction. Since entering the industry, Taylor has overseen inspections and services. He recently transitioned to the healthcare vertical about two years ago. Taylor has many certifications, including: Certified Healthcare Operations Manager A & B (CHOP), NICET 1 – Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems (ITWBS), and Certified Healthcare Physical Environment Worker (CHPEW). Taylor is based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Healthcare Operations Manager

Holly Ramirez graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business to Business Sales and a minor in Health Sciences. She has been in the life safety industry for 9 years, with a focus on healthcare for the past 7. She has held sprinkler inspector certifications, is currently FASA/BASA and CHOP-B Certified, and has served on the board for the Brevard County chapter of the Society of America Military Engineers. Throughout her career, Holly has been an Inspection Sales Executive, Client Account Manager, and Project Manager within the healthcare industry. With her current role as Healthcare Operations Manager, she works closely with acute and non-acute healthcare facilities to help them manage their life safety programs with confidence.
